Danny Brown made his network debut on Wednesday doing an interview for Last Call With Carson Daily. In the clip, Brown describes the experience meeting Tony Yayo and touring the nation with the whole G-Unit team. Brown tells us the story of meeting with rapper 50 Cent and how he wanted him to wear baggy jeans while he was on tour with them because he wasn’t feeling Danny Brown’s skinny jeans which was the style that he was is widely known for by fans.

Even though it was a little different for Danny Browns taste he still had fun touring with the crew, check out the clip!

To push his album “24 Hour Karate School Presents: Twilight” Ski Beatz released a track today titled “Time Goes.” Probably more well-known for his work on albums for Jay-Z and other big names in the hip hop world, Ski Beatz is releasing an album of his own. The song “Time Goes” gives us a futuristic, funky instrumental with verses from Locksmith and Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller. The song starts out with a chorus from Mac then his verse, followed by a verse from Locksmith. The verse from Mac Miller seems to be sort of recycled material that features some gloating about himself, a stab at Diddy, a girl he seems to not like, talking about how rap is his job, and some other topics he’s touched on in his recent album.

Followed by Locksmith’s verse, which is of a similar tone to Miller’s. Even though people seem to like Locksmith’s verse better than Mac Miller’s, he is not listed in the title on any blogs or music websites.  Check out Ski Beatz – “Time Goes” featuring Mac Miller and Locksmith and let us know what you think about it in the comments section below.

Actor-writer-comedian-rapper Donald Glover, know as Childish Gambino to the music world, recently released the music video to his song “Heartbeat.” According to iTunes, the song is the most popular off of his album “Camp,” released November of 2011.  Known for his role on the show “Community,” Donald had quite a large following by the time he released his third mixtape, under the name Childish Gambino, titled “Culdesac.” His album “Camp” went on to peak at number 11 on Billboard’s Top 200. “Heartbeat” is a song about a past relationship and him missing it and/or trying to get it back.

The video shows the difficulty of his past relationship by the two riding around town separated in the car, only to end up in the back seat together at the end of the night. To most Donald seems to be excellent at everything he tries, but check out the video to “Heartbeat” by Childish Gambino and let us know what you think about it in the comments section below.

Yesterday afternoon Detroit rapper Big Sean released a freestyle titled “Two Can Win” to honor J Dilla, a producer that passed away February 10, 2006. J Dilla, a hip hop producer from 1993 to 2006, was from Detroit, Michigan, and remained there until 2004 when he moved to Los Angeles. In 2006, 3 days before he passed away, J Dilla released an album titled “Donuts.” Big Sean’s freestyle is over the track “Only One Can Win” from that album.

Big Sean stated “His soul will live forever! RIP J Dilla” on his twitter page while releasing the track. As an honor to one of the most influential hip hop producers of all time the track includes shout outs to Detroit and Dilla. Former member of RD (Ruff Diamondz) Troy Hudson releases the first of her solo material – ‘Say Bye Bye,’ featuring the very talented producer/rapper Mdot-E. The pair who have been close friends for years, have been hard at work in the studio since the split of the all girl trio last year, which Troy explains was a great experience but going solo is really where she wanted to be and YES she proves her case, with this smashing and meaningful RnB number.

Produced by Ash K!d, the simple hip hop drum beat along with the piano chords and sweet RnB melody, really builds a great foundation for the duo to then vocal and drop bars about the misfortunes of relationship’s and the invested time wasted – this is without a doubt a track that needs to be added to the top bangers iPod collection! I don’t know about you guys but Im definitely looking forward to hear some more music from Troy – a ruff diamond she most definitely is but I reckon her time to start sparkling bright, is coming real real soon!

Most will know him as Chipmunk but it seems official with the release of this freestyle that the name is now CHIP. Without a doubt, Chippy as I will still continue to name the young UK rapper – never fails with a freestyle and boi has he done justice with Tyga’s US platinum selling record ‘Rack City’ – which may I add, is due for release in the UK on February 20th 2012. But back to CHIP – he’s cheeky, cocky and as he never fails to prove… an amazingly intelligent and talented young artist. Chippy tears down the beat in true London style, keeping it real and telling us all how it really is and what he’s really about!

No sugar coating – he keeps it raw dropping lyrics about how white girls like him, like sun tan and that he can point at an MC and get him dropped lol! Whether or not this is actually factual information or quite frankly the tongue and cheek banter that CHIP likes to deliver to his fans – its a good friggin freestyle and he needs to keep them coming!

Very few people are bigger than Wiz Khalifa right now. And whether you love or hate him he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Wiz, like many celebs or actually for that matter many regular average joe’s are using the internet to try and get their products or whatever out to the public. Khalifa is no different, teaming up with search engine BING to release a commercial.

Straight to the point as far as commercials go, gives us a mini glimpse into his life. Playing ball, recording, or whatever the case may be, Mr. Khalifa is as normal as most of us..minus the millions of dollars. Maybe Bing will show him some food recipes, dude looks hungry.

MMG Boss Rick Ross sits down with photographer Johnathan Mannion to discuss their past work together, as well as the future. The two had a discussion about all of Rick Ross’ album covers that Johnathan has shot over the years and broke them down. It’s ill to get behind the scene information, as it makes you feel closer to the game without being in it. The two also sit down and speak of their humble beginnings as well as what drives them to do what they do.

Johnathan Mannion said it best saying “drive is what sets you apart from the others”. Something that both he and Ross posses like madmen. Do yourself a favor and check out the insightful videos after the jump and learn somethings about The Boss Rick Ross. UGH.

Young Jeezy and Freddie Gibbs link up for another banger titled “Mobbin’”. Freddie Gibbs leads this off on “Mobbin” and delivers a super lyrical verse that made me run it back a few times based on the skill level. Jeezy comes on strong in the second verse and delivers his typical D-Boy flow that we’ve all came to love from The Snowman.

Not sure who produced this track, but it is something serious. This one is definently for the streets. The track will be found on the upcoming project entitled Its The World, which is coming soon. In the mean time, do yourself a favor and check out the track “Mobbin’” after the jump, you will not be disapponted. It’s CTE Or Nothing!

Dipset member and Harlem native Juelz Santana is back with something hot entitled “Fast Life”. For “Fast Life” Juelz links up with fellow Harlem rep Vado for this banger. The piano driven beat gets worked over by both Juelz and Vado, as they both have blossomed into dangerous MC’s. DJ Envy took to the air to premiere this tough ass track, and judging by the first listen, I’m positive the streets are gonna love this shit right here.

Although there is no word on where this track will end up, it’s definitely worth checking out. My man Vado is beastly on the mic and of course Juelz is nothing less that serious. Raheem DeVaughn is back with a new track entitled “Be The One”. The Snoop Dogg assisted “Be The One” is a classic sounding R & B track where Radio Raheem croons about how he can “Be The One”. Raheem’s smooth vocals fit nicely over the mid tempo guitar driven track. California native gives the mic his blessing as he lays down a rather clean verse about his attributes in himself for his lady. These two go together very well, I would love to see more colloabos inh the future from Raheem and Snoop.

This track “Be The One” will find its home on Raheem DeVaughn’s upcoming project Destination Loveland, which drops on Valentines day; for the ladies of course. Check out the track “Be The One” after the jump, its smooth!

Harlem native MC Cam’Ron links up with up and comer Yummy Bingham for a new tracked called “So Bad”. The beat for “So Bad” will immediately be stuck in your head from the first line. Cam’Ron of course comes with is Harlem style and flow, and delivers a solid track. Although the track is not forever one, but I’m diggin’ it. He takes to the mic to talk about his bad chick, but not bad in the good way. Cam speaks about how she has a nice booty but the attitude of Judge Judy, that could pose some problems.

No idea at all where this track will end up, maybe Mr. Giles has a new mixtape in the works or something, who knows. The track is dope though, none the less. Check out the track “So Bad” after the jump and let us know what you think.

Now this is interesting, electronic collective Chairlift links up with Kool AD of Das Racist for a cover of Beyonce’s “Party”. The live in studio video shows the group and AD performing the cover while on a radio show, and it’s actually quite ill. They start things off with a little cover of the “Niggas In Paris” instrumental before “Party” breaks out. The lead singer for Chairlift uses her rather unique vocals to give “Party” a completely different feel, much more laid back and mellow, but no less amazing than the original.

It seems like these sort of cover attempts either work really well or do not work at all, and this is actually a pretty good rendition of Beyonce’s hit record. Check out Chairlift and Kool AD doing their thing on “Party” and let us know what you think.
